“The DILF (Dad I'd Like To Friend) Handbook replaces silence with language, and isolation with support, so new dads don't have to carry the hardest parts of early parenthood alone. Not because dads need to be rescued. Because they deserve support, too.”

The DILF (Dad I’d Like To… Friend) Handbook:

A New Dad’s Guide to Overcoming the Most Common Myths of Parenthood

Beyond the comedic title, The DILF Handbook explores the parts of fatherhood no one warns you about. While most parenting books focus on your baby, this book focuses on YOU — offering tools to tackle the hidden struggles of modern fatherhood, from identity shifts to paternal burnout and social isolation. Written by DSD founder, Kevin Seldon, this vital resource is grounded in research, real stories & proven strategies, while shattering dangerous myths like:

  • There’s No Room for Mistakes as a Parent
  • You will Never Have Sex Again
  • You Will Feel an Instant Bond with your Baby

About The Author, Kevin Seldon

As a new dad, Kevin Seldon struggled to find support. These feelings of isolation were the motivation behind his inspiring dad-focused podcast, DILF (Dad I’d Like To… Friend), which has since been featured everywhere from The New York Times to People Magazine, while breaking into Apple’s Top 10 parenting podcast charts.

He then launched a nonprofit network of leading fatherhood organizations, building one of the largest dad communities in the country. After hearing from dads around the world who were also struggling, he’s now created this sanity-saving guide to improve the mental health of new dads, so they can better support their families and themselves.
