Dad 2.0 Summit: Here We Come!
Nine NYC Dads Group members will be gunning for more than gumbo when they attend the third Dad 2.0 Summit in New Orleans tomorrow, Thursday, January 29 – Saturday, February 1. We’re excited to ‘meetup’ with many of the organizers and members of other #CityDads Groups from Boston, Philly, LA, and Chicago.
Dad 2.0 is an annual conference where marketers, social media leaders, and blogging parents connect to discuss the changing voice and perception of modern fatherhood. The star of our NYC delegation will be Lorne Jaffe, who has been selected as one of five “spotlight” speakers. Lorne will read one of the many frank, touching posts from his blog Raising Sienna.
For many of us, this weekend will be about camaraderie, meeting awesome dads from across the nation who are usually hiding behind their PC’s, inspiration to hone our craft at being a better parent, sharing our collective, positive, amplified voice with brands, exploring an exciting city rich with culture and history, and selfishly, taking a few moments for ourselves while putting our primary parenting responsibilities on pause.
